PhonePe has allotted 1,007,670 equity shares of Rs 10 each at securities premium of Rs 4,230 per share to the holding firm. T h e f u n d i n g i s expected to help the com- pany to take on rivals such as Alibaba-backed Paytm, Google Pay and AmazonPay. Link Aadhaar, elec- toral roll to check duplicate entries: Parliament panel A parliamentary com- mittee supported the Election Commission proposal to link voters' Aadhaar numbers with the electoral roll to clean up data of dupl i cate entries. The recommen- dation is part of its report on Demands for Grants (2020-2021) of the min- istry of law and justice tabled inParliament. The apps do not disclose that they are owned by the company.
